Meet Kayla Garza — founder of The Learning Space, devoted teacher, and proud mom.
When she's not guiding students in the classroom, she's at home with the family she adores.
Kayla's teaching journey began in California, where she volunteered at summer camps before
finding her first classroom — a preschool. From there, she taught high school students in a
1:1 setting, then spent several formative years as a K–2 special education teacher in
Redwood City, CA. It was there that Kayla found her true calling: individualized, creative
approaches to teaching that would shape her philosophy for years to come.
Kayla holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Psychology from Menlo College
and an M.S. in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. Beyond her credentials,
she's a fun, energetic educator who genuinely loves what she does.
In 2020, Kayla and her family moved to Texas to start a new chapter. She founded The
Learning Space to build the learning community she always envisioned — one where every
child is seen, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are. The growth of The
Learning Space continues to fill her with happiness.
